140 George Street, Parramatta
Our proposal was about creating an engaging and inviting addition to the George Street streetscape and the Parramatta skyline.
We created a podium which responds in scale and detail to its context and neighbours, on which sits an elegant collection of tower elements, distinguishable from a distance, and respectful of their urban impact up close.
The building becomes the entry and heart of a new fine grain network of spaces, with the ability to spread beyond this immediate context linking buildings, streets and people.
The building speaks of its time and is classically composed in three parts; with an activated urban podium, a commercially desirable tower and an identifiable crown.
