Brookfield Place, Perth

Encompassing a major part of an entire city block and with an extensive frontage to Perth’s prime commercial address, St Georges Terrace, Brookfield Place is positioned at the heart of the business precinct.

Two of the city’s major public transport facilities, the Esplanade Train Station and Perth Busport, are within 200 metres walk. The main CBD shopping precinct is one block to the north.

The centrepiece of the development is the Brookfield Place tower - an iconic side core commercial tower, with more than 74,500m² of premium grade commercial space, over 42 tenancy levels. Anchored by BHPB, the tower will be the largest most technically advanced building in Western Australia.

The Brookfield Place development also includes refurbishment of five heritage buildings fronting St Georges Terrace, which contains boutique office accommodation, destination restaurants and bars and first class fashion concepts.

Connecting the heriage precinct and the tower will be a dynamic public plaza providing a selection of quality food and beverage outlets, retail shops and interesting public spaces with covered access to the nearby bus and train stations.

The project was undertaken by fitzpatrick+partners in collaboration with HASSELL. HASSELL have undertaken the detailed documentation, heritage building works, retail and the majority of the advice during construction phases.

The project won the Urban Taskforce award for Australian Development of the Year 2013 and three WA named Architecture Awards for Heritage, Commercial and Urban Design.
