Elizabeth Street
231 Elizabeth Street is an existing office building fronting Hyde Park; in lieu of this, the site is subject to councils height restrictions and sun access requirements to the park adjacent.
The design seeks to convert the existing office building into residential apartments with retail to ground floor. The existing structure is proposed to remain, with some minor modifications to the core including number of lifts and their configuration.
A mix of one bedroom, two bedroom, and some three and four bedroom units are proposed.
The building design encompases adjustable timber louvre elements to balconies to maximise sun and views, and a dynamic roof element to the top of the building, following the sun access plane.
