Sovereign Room
The Sovereign Room extension at The Star provides a premium semi outdoor environment for selected guests and patrons of The Star.
The interlocking circular geometry responds to the flowing curves of the existing building, sitting as a collection of private pods upon an existing verandah. The facade is consistently wrapped with starphhire white glass blades at regular centres, providing the desired level of natural ventilation but also a privacy screening element.
Integrated lighting between the blades and the external lighting is reflected off these blades, creating an ever-changing lighting effect as people move through the internal spaces. The circular geometry is reinforced in the floor and ceiling features, with the centres of the “turbines” incorporating water and landscape features.
