The Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute (CCCSRI) redefines the region’s approach to healthcare, education and research through an integrated and future-focused facility. Strategically located within the Gosford Hospital precinct, the six-storey building is a cornerstone of the Health and Wellbeing Precinct and the first of its kind on the Central Coast.

Designed to support a new generation of medical professionals, the facility brings together simulation wards, laboratories, and breakout areas that encourage dynamic, hands-on learning. With 207 rooms tailored to contemporary teaching models, the CCCSRI is a vital extension of the University of Newcastle, offering students world-class education in direct connection with clinical practice.

This purpose-built facility sits within the broader masterplanned redevelopment of the Gosford Hospital campus, designed to meet the region’s long-term healthcare and infrastructure needs. The hospital precinct has been transformed to improve access, connectivity, and amenity—featuring new public plazas, enhanced pedestrian links to transport, and a dedicated hospital entry node. The Health and Wellbeing Precinct integrates health services with government and administrative functions, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration while increasing public interface through retail and communal spaces.
