Randwick Racecourse Car Park

Randwick Racecourse Car Park

Designed and constructed within 80- weeks, the Randwick Racecourse car park delivered major upgrades to the race day stalls and spectator amenities.

The works included new ground-level spectator assembly areas, a three-level open-deck car park for 580 vehicles, and a pedestrian bridge connecting to the grandstand. These additions elevate the functionality and experience of one of Australia’s premier horse racing venues.

With no established standards for equine facilities, the team developed an innovative, tailored design that prioritized the safety and comfort of walking and stabled horses while maintaining structural and architectural integrity. Temporary day stalls were also constructed to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Australian Turf Club during the build.

Despite operating in a live, seven-day-a-week precinct, the site team delivered outstanding quality and attention to detail. Successfully combining spaces for horses, spectators, and vehicles within one facility, the project exemplified excellence in design, construction, and adaptability under complex safety and environmental conditions.
